Those on the One Night Porgramme

Day One: Arrival at Safari Narayani Hotel. Safari Narayani Hotel is strategically located on an elevated bluff that overlooks the Rapti and the Chitwan National Park beyond. Lunch (fixed menu) will be served upon arrival.





A short briefing on the elephants by our naturalists at the elephant stable.

Later Afternoon, visit an ethnic Tharus Village on Ox Cart. The surrounding farmland and villages has a pulse of its own, giving it a sense of timelessness. An experienced guide will accompany you. Or Elephant Safari (ride) in the Community Forest (Chitwan National Park) to reach the community forest (20 to 30 minutes drive). The animals are numerous and frequent sightings. The ride will be for about One and half hour.

Upon returning you will be free to retire to your rooms or perhaps join company around the hotel. Shortly thereafter dinner (fixed menu) will be served at the restaurant.

Day Two: Morning: wake up call at dawn, timing vary depending on the season.

Tea/coffee with cookies will be served or breakfast will be served.

After tea/coffee, visit and ethnic Tharus Village or Elephant Safari.

After tea/coffee or breakfast. Elephant Safari (ride) in the Community Forest (Chitwan National Park) Or visit an ethnic Tharus Village on Ox cart.

Breakfast or Tea/Coffee will serve on your return from the Elephant Safari or Tharu Village visit. You will have a spectacular view of the Rapti River and the Chitwan National Park from your breakfast or tea/coffee table.

Or a ride in a traditional dug-out canoe will take you from the hotel to Kasara. The ride is on the Rapti River for approximately 5km. On this silent ride you will get an opportunity to view aquatic birds and see animals on the river banks.

At the end of the ride, a visit will be made to the Gharial (Crocodile) Breeding Centre. From the Gharial Breeding Centre you will begin your Jungle (nature) walk. You will be accompanied by a trained naturalist and a trace. The latter will walk some distance ahead to check on animal movement on the trail ahead. You are advised to closely follow the instructions of the naturalist at all times.

Breakfast or Tea/Coffee will serve on your return from the Elephant Safari or Tharu Village visit or Jungle (nature) walk. You will have a spectacular view of the Rapti River and the Chitwan National Park from your breakfast or tea/coffee table.

Afternoon: depending upon the season, elephant bathing will be held on the Rapti River, and you are most welcome to join in giving the elephants a scrub.

Lunch (fixed menu) will be served and a short rest.

After lunch and a short rest, a ride in a traditional dug-out canoe, a visit will be made to the Gharial (Crocodile) Breeding Centre and from the Gharial Breeding Centre you will begin your jungle (nature) walk.
